With Pope Francis visiting Washington, DC
this week and the celebration of
World Gratitude Day,
let us take a moment
to reflect on all we are thankful for.

Peace:  “You are probably not regularly being threatened with being enslaved, imprisoned, beaten, raped, or robbed. But if you were among the world’s poorest billions, you would be.” **

Let us be thankful that we have a working justice system.

Opportunity: Rina, employed by freedom business Sari Bari, passed away in February of 2012. Thankfully, the proceeds from the Rina II bag make sure her children can continue their education.

Let us be thankful that our children have every opportunity
for education and a future.

Wealth:  “There are about 410 million people in India trying to stay alive on about $1.25 per day – that’s about 100 million more people than the entire population of the United States.” **

Let us be thankful for the wealthy country we are privileged to live in.

We have so many blessings in the western world!  May we be thankful and use all our resources to make a difference in another’s life.
