The second annual Race for Freedom 5K Run and Walk is tomorrow! Running or walking a 5k will take you less than one hour, but every step and every sponsorship makes freedom possible for many men, women and children.

Justice Delayed But Not Thwarted

In 2017, Kara* (a minor girl) was rescued from the clutches of a trafficker who took her to various brothels for commercial sexual exploitation, including the residence of two perpetrators. The police later charged the perpetrators with procuring minors and adults for prostitution at private residences. An NGO referred Kara’s case to Justice Hub lawyers, who actively pursued the case

Aftercare Worker’s Determination to Restore Sazia

In December 2023, 25-year-old Sazia* was rescued from a railway station by Justice Hub team members, with the help of the Patrolling Police. Nita*, a 17-year-old from Bangladesh, was trafficked to West Bengal while attending a birthday party to which her friend Sahil had invited her. As Nita prepared to leave, Sahil took her phone and belongings and confined her in an unknown place for several days, during which time he sexually abused her repeatedly.
